It would probably have better critical mass for all to unite under one banner, but to each his own.
Fwiw I have actually had a pint with Woof and also Thee Captain and it was immensely pleasurable. Several punts actually which is a good sign.

As doghouse knows, much of this is simply online banter. One shrugs the (natural) shoulder and goes off to make coffee/listen to jazz/smell the roses/kick the cat...
But I like to hear from Shooey, a man who is instructive, single-minded, modest - all admirable attributes.
I've no inkling of what the phrase 'Fwiw' might mean. 'Thee Captain' was after my (original) time. I took a long break, to study art and architecture mainly.

By the by, the 'Trad' angle has never gone down well on here. I never minded it too much myself, feeling that it could be played with by some, just as I never minded the idea of 'Prep'. I simply didn't walk that path for very long or for too great a distance. A few random purchases; a recognition there could be some crossover; tweaking Frosty's nose from time to time. Nothing more.
But the drift towards bespoke is not for the likes of me.

They seem to be medium rise. They look good but too costly for cotton khakis even though they are made in the US and have a lot of handwork. As Shooey often says we need to support these manufacturers

I agree with Shooey.
I'll check the price but don't believe they should be, as you say, too costly. I'd be more likely to shell out for decent navy or olive cords. The last pair of US khakis I bought, Sedgefield, had some irritating and pointless detailing above the back pockets. I got rid of them.

Note: I learned how to LOL online after discussing it with my infant daughters. I knew how to LOL before I knew what AAAC or the term 'i-gent' were referring to. I now do a lot of LOLing (except when handing out huge wads of cash to the roofers).

'Talk Ivy' was once described as a quiet corner of the Internet. Long may it remain that way.
