Re: Talk Ivy Members on Ivy Style

How about those with a non-criminal past who reinvent themselves?
Yuca claimed to be 'hip' by '89.
Something must have gone wrong -
In the first few days of '90.

Re: Talk Ivy Members on Ivy Style

I see John Burton's name does crop up on IS, toward the beginning (as it were).
Well, if Lenny Bruce could impersonate a Catholic priest, soliciting alms for lepers...
Bless you, John, I for one forgive you.
As Liz Taylor may or may not have said, any publicity, shit publicity is better than no publicity.

Summerdad, I strongly suspect, will not put in another appearance.  A pity really.  I dig that snap of Rod Taylor.  But not half as much as I used to adore Stanshall's two pretty girls dancing.  That was the best of all.

Stan was a good poster until Berk Breath arrived and for some reason he changed.  If you are around Stan, all is forgiven. Maybe even Berk Breath has grown up.

I don't think Yuca said that, did he? - although he might have meant to have said it.  No: surely it was someone else.

Those girls were terrific.

Interestingly, there were many posts which used the names of s lot of the people mentioned in the legally related documents referenced by Ivystyled. Those have gone or posts have been kept and names changed by the alleged crook

And then he posts:

I hear some of the UK ivy contingent are wearing these with boots, braces, and harringtons. Ridiculous. These are pure American.

Odd.  I expect, like many of us Brits, Americans have nothing better to do than bugger about online.  You'd think they'd be worrying about a. Biden shoving up the price of a hot dog and mustard, b. the possible return of The Donald and c. lunatics running around in Chicago.  But hey ho.  They're amused, I don't doubt, by the gruesome spectacle of the UK careering further in the direction of hell, using the proverbial handcart.
I always thought it highly dubious we should have a PM called 'Boris'.  I wonder if it's the same one that used to hide around corners at Downing Street during Margaret Thatcher's time.

If only Sir Keir would remember to put his tie on...  even if it's of an incorrect width...  and ditch those polyester suits...

Odd. I wonder if he was confessing his crimes, mocking his ability to get away relatively unpunished, or people who know him from old were giving him a hard time.

Regardless, if he swallows his ego, learns something about ivy clothing, turns the site back to a sartorial focus and makes his writing readable then he could do well for himself. A lot of people would appreciate such a course of action.

No I can't imagine it either, but then life is full of surprises.

Life certainly is full of surprises.
We may live long enough to witness some of the posters on DW acquire a sense of perspective, humour, humility etc.
To echo Yuca, I can't imagine it either.
