Looks like Bill Thomas of Bills Khakis fame is due to re-enter the fray with a new Khakis brand.
I am a massive fan of the Bills M3 trouser and during the recent hot spell found chinos to be the only long trouser worth wearing to work. In truth I also spent a lot of time in shorts.

During the recent UK heatwave I lived in shorts for several weeks but there were a couple of evenings out when a long trouser was called for and I reached for a old pair of Brooks navy blue linen slacks, drawing a comment from my wife that I looked as if I had come from the office. Because anything other than a denim jean puts the wearer into posh trouser territory in today’s super casual world. But a pair of battered khaki chinos hold the middle ground nicely.
