What Would You Like To Be Wearing (But Don't Have)?

I still need a light Grey (not Blue) Chambray 3/2 Sack sportscoat like Press used to do for the summer...

Re: What Would You Like To Be Wearing (But Don't Have)?

I'd love a light blue jacket in chambray or that oxford cloth that Brooks was offering.  The less than stellar construction put me off it, but what the hell, not bad for a summer coat.  Wish I'd invested.  Also wish I'd gotten a few of the perf. Peal loafers that Brooks seems to have here and there but not always.  I'd like a new camel hair coat.  And I'd really love to get a few new yellow OCBD's if I could find the right shade.  And I'd like some of those shirts in fabrics I've seen exhibited by Grayson and FNB.  I could use a few Hober ties, which is easily enough solved, I suppose.  And I need to go back to the wall of socks at Bon Marche.  Then there's the stuff that I'd like that I can't get anymore:  some of the old Brooks stuff.  the old Press USA suit in the cheap model with the tropical wool fabric and perfect natural shoulder.  Some of the troy broadcloth BD's, though I've found a decent alternative.  I'd like a few of the more basic Brooks striped repp ties in a more moderate width.  I'd like to hit up Chipp for something.  I'd like to get a shoo or two from tricker's but don't want to order without trying on in their shop.

Edward Green "Harrow" loafer slip-ons. I don't even know what the price is, but I imagine it is ridiculous.

Pair of Trickers stout country brogues - not available as far as I know in CA.  Baracuta G4 in natural.  Also an alternative to the Brooks non-iron slim fit BDs that are actually soft in feel - any ideas?  More slim fitting chinos - can't seem to find any that are not cut too baggy.

I'd like to get some white flannel cricket pants to wear this summer. I'd wear them with a white button down shirt from oxford.  I'd feel so English.

I might get the polo coat this month. But I always wanted a sheepskin lined WWII flight jacket. they still make them in the USA. I'd be a complete fraud wearing one. But I've seen so may old movies. Maybe Spencer Tracey would forgive me.60 seconds over Tokyo or whatever that movie was about Jimmy Doolittle.

l love the hand skin stitching. Any machine done version looks crap (boring and cold) when compared to the hand version. With the hand version, you can feel the love and see the art in the skin stitching. No bullshit....you can feel it mate.

Re: What Would You Like To Be Wearing (But Don't Have)?

For me it depends on the shoe.  There are some that would look wrong with machine stitching, but I think the Chasse would look better that way.  I am also not crazy about the EG Dover for the same reason.
