The Uniqlo white T shirt is pretty good. I've probably got 12 of them and wear them every day under BD shirts and polos. They are heavy duty so not for those who want a lightweight T shirt. After washing the neck stays the same and they keep their shape. I've tried many different white t shirts but these are the best I've worn. I can't believe they are so cheap. Made in Vietnam. When new they are an ecru colour but first wash turn out white

Asphalte make decent heavier weight white tee shirts. Made in Portugal I believe, so expect to pay more. Around about £30 if I recall. Great collar, higher and triple stitched. No pocket, which is a shame, but well worth it if you want a better quality tee shirt. I'd pay no more than that for a tee shirt. Worth a look.

I've discovered the Costco brand is Kirkland that Amazon also sell.

Shopping in J Lewis yesterday, looking for a sofa, my missus sensed my boredom setting in so she suggested we look at the menswear section. To my amazement she offered to buy me a supima cotton olive green t shirt and olive chinos. The T shirt costs £18 is very fine and has a good tight neck. Didn't notice if they do it in white but if they do I might buy some.
