Velasca Loafers

I’m currently looking at Summer loafers in snuff suede

Calm down Alvey I hear you say. Still only 6 degrees out there and the masses are still stealing Canada Goose overcoats from one another.

I noticed a snuff suede pair from the Italian shoe shop across the road from Johns.Called OST

They are expensive for Blake stitched shoes but I like the Italian take on the loafers we all like.

Has anyone any experience of this brand?

I can’t comment on the OST brand, but check on Sanders Aldwych loafers.

Northampton quality and the suede they’re made of is peerless.

FSC,

Thanks for the tip. Nice looking shoe. Great price too.

I'm looking for something a bit more collegiate. Hence the Velasca.

I'm thinking sockless, cream Bedford cords and a linen shirt.

AS,
For that, i call it, "Riviera Ivy look" you described above, you could have a look at Carmina´s penny loafer range on the XIM last. Very plein soleil-y.

Yes, Plein Soleil and la Piscine. That's the exact reference point.

Thanks for the info.

I really liked the look of PENNY LOAFERS IN BROWN KARAGRAIN.

If I hadn't bought the Rancourt grain I would of given these a go.

Whilst the dark Repello suede looked good for Summer I'm thinking more along the lines of Snuff.

The Carmina Karagrain Pennies are great if only they could have leather soles. On a whole them seem lighter than the JS Beefroll Rancourts. But i´m pretty sure, Rommy Schneider would like them.
