Korean Ivy

Like Japanese but lower prices?

https://en.renacts.com/

Blazer looks good value. Not sure about taxes etc

Re: Korean Ivy

If you Google Korean Ivy it comes up with a young singer.

Re: Korean Ivy

Sack jacket looks nice and the additional information they provide is welcome to explain the context.
Personally, I wouldn't order into UK from Korea, for the import/taxes issue and how to resolve any sizing issues.
But this is very welcome to see.

Interesting they mention using British fabric, so if ordering the round trip on that cloth will be huge.

Re: Korean Ivy

Never seen Korean Ivy in New Malden which is the most Korean place in all Europe. New Malden Spoons even offered soju - the Korean alcohol. Great Korean restaurants there.

In Summer, a New Malden pal of mine passed away. The wake was in a pub in the area. He had been fit as a fiddle. Walked at a brisk pace and was a keen cyclist. Next thing, the illness kicked in and he could not walk far. Last met up with him in New Malden Spoons. His poor wife was coming down with dementia at the same time, although she seemed OK at the funeral.

Carpe Diem

Re: Korean Ivy

Random Walk Shop in Seoul have their own spin on Korean Ivy.

Shetland & Aran knitwear, C&J, Alden & JM Weston shoes, Invertere Duffle coats, Herringbone overcoats, Gitman & Kamakura Vintage Ivy BD's, some nice

tweed Anatomica sports jackets but the details are all wrong, Golden Bear varsity jackets and a Sierra Designs look alike parka to name a few.

Re: Korean Ivy

There’s a good few Korean Ivy stylers over in Instagram, vivahippy (for the laydeez) and hotneul who think are a couple are good examples.

The items on the site look decent, well styled. As others have said the issue is of course sizing – needs someone to become a UK stockist to establish a mean average on the fit

Re: Korean Ivy

VAT would apply. So add 20%.

May not be tariffs though.

Not keen enough to test the market though.

Re: Korean Ivy

I can see it now Kingy … an Ivy League clothing shop in New Malden. You as a JS -like  Ivy patriarch, flogging their own clobber to the Korean locals.

Re: Korean Ivy

The Navy blue tweed sack cut blazer seems all wrong … but strangely alluring.

Re: Korean Ivy

I did buy a pair of slippers in New Malden Shoezone once - but the area is not noted for clothing.

New Malden Koreans are very nice people, but I would have more chance of joining them in one of their church services. They sing hymns at The Fountain roundabout on a regular basis. The local Methodist church has a large Korean congregation - but I am not a Protestant.

Re: Korean Ivy

I could not see what was wrong with the blue blazer. It seems to have a lining   too and it is a very good price.

Re: Korean Ivy

Kingston1an - I suppose I didn’t explain my blue blazer comment very well.
Tweed with a herringbone weave just didn’t look in keeping with the brass buttons to my eye. Maybe I would like it more with horn buttons.
They have some nice pieces on the site, reasonably priced and they have done their Ivy homework it seems.

Re: Korean Ivy

I see what you mean. Did not look like tweed on an iPad. When I expanded the photo it was more obvious.

Re: Korean Ivy

Just had a look at the Blazer on my work desk top.

The blazer fabric has a texture to it. I think it looks more like a shetland  corded wool rather than herringbone.

Re: Korean Ivy

I noticed they stock Individualized Shirts, (USA made), I've got a couple of their shirts from around 10 years ago I reckon, they are excellent shirts, don't think there are any UK retailers, someone mentioned a store in Manila a few months back and they also stocked them,
