What's with this (from a recent post): "Only wear boots for practical reasons."
For years I would only wear boots, and again I find myself wearing them more and more. Chelsea, chukka, desert or whatever. Army boots in bad weather. With the exception of driving mocs and black brogues, I'd be happy enough to ditch all my other shoes.
One small advantage is that I like I like to wear funky socks in bright colours, and these seem less of an affectation whilst wearing boots.
So, do you gravitate more to boots, or more to shoes?

Neither, nor.
I've built up my shoe wardrobe with shoes and added some boots from time to time.
I will change the ratio(not only) towards boots from now.
Do not care about chukka and desert.
I used to wear work boots for different jobs I've had. Now that I don't do manual labor anymore I don't wear boots - only shoes. Boots just remind me of tough times that'a all - so it's just a personal thing.
l've always been a bootman at heart. Feels more solid and grand on the feet.
Evenstill........
i'm a bootman and a shooman. Both rule.
lt would be a dream to own a wingtip boot.
I could be perfectly content only owning boots and no shoes, altho it would take the fun out of having fun socks
Used to wear boots almost exclusively for a few years in my youth.
