I believe his character in Gangs of New York would have thoroughly approved. I suppose the suit follows the principle that if you're going to do a thing, you may as well do it full bore.

l've seen that suit in Australian newspapers and publications at least ten times. Certainly makes a change from the usual dark suits those actor people normally wear: Daniel shows some individuality that puts him aside from those Hollywood pack people.
