The Backing track to your life?

I have always loved music - pretty much any genre of music-but there are always some songs that have a greater resonance than others- songs that evoke memories, situations and times ( some good- some bad)

lets imagine - that one is compilling a soundtrack of ones life - what songs - would be on the mastertape.

one of the songs that carried early significance for myself was- Terry Jacks- seasons in the sun.

After hearing this I had a twenty year belief that I was destined to die at an early age - and as such spent twenty years rehearsing what I would say to loved ones on my death bed.

such is life.

Re: The Backing track to your life?

This song was on the car radio as my parents were driving me to my prep school for the first time.

8 years old and I was leaving home- well thats what it felt like-the first 2 days I was homesick -misserable and lonely- but after that short period - I loved it and never looked back.

Inspirational song-Inspirational trousers.

would these trousers be classed as trad - I see the backing singer on the far left is almost certainly of the Jewish faith.

I love  this by the Who -I first heard it years after it was released -and adopted it as an anthem for my angst ridden teenage years it was this song that drew me into a deeper apreciation of The Who`s music.

Uncle -fucking brilliant- when I see videos and clips of the Who - it always amazes me- you have Moon and Daltrey buzzing-Townshend ready to explode with nervous energy and Entwistle looking on and strumming his base - like the other 3 are fuck all to do with him.

People talk about the Beatles and Stones as Gods- but .......well it doesn`t need stating does it
