On the recomendation of a friend- I today purchased a pair of chung shi travel shoes- fucking ugly but not quite as ugly as MBT`s however I am relliably informed- that wearing these will improve my lower back pain.
The mbts reminded me of the spacca shoes you used to see kids wearing with leg callipers - so the chung shi`s were definately the better of the two options
I bought some khakis and cords from Bean and some colored socks from Brooks today.
Hoping to go to Press end of next week and again as soon as the spring/summer things are out.
Navy blue knitted wool tie off ebay - wanted one for a while, either in wool or silk.
Knitted ties with square ends are about the only I ever wear now.
A cream cashmere roll-neck sweater and a brown/rust merino wool roll-neck sweater.
Levis 501s in light finish (on-sale at Langston's)
Faconnable jeans
I spent $50 on shoe waxes.
Over the last two weekends at my usual bay and bargain-bin haunts:
another navy knitted tie, this time in silk
4 pairs OTC socks - 2 plain, 2 argyle
sand coloured beige suede belt (maybe t. wear with desert boots)
ring belt made of seatbelt material (maybe t. wear with driving mocs?)
navy wool crewneck
warm-lined navy paisley scarf
navy BD shirt
wash and wear cotton sports jacket - murky olive, center vent SB, hacking pockets, peak lapel, nice shoulders
diminutive East German cord sports jacket in navy on its way, fingers crossed should be a perfect fit acc. to measurements (if not EUR 5 out of pocket)

Barbour Cowan commando Jacket - with Union flag on left arm and commerative style metal plaque inside - lots of pockets and a drawstring waist - happy as a pig in shit.
Aero Highwayman leather jacket
Four very nice scarves arrived today, the old, shorter type; paisley rayon, wool houndstooth check, wool paisley, and one plain grey wool.
So it's a scarf day tomorrow.
Cashmere cardigan from Pure Collection. Will keep me nice and toasty when we enter an economic depression and I am living on the street.
