Re: Thom Browne

His jackets are short, but I didnt find them extremely short

Guess it depends on the wearer's proportions and what they perceive looks good on them. I think a TB jacket length looks better on *me* than a traditional length jacket, which I always feel seems too long, even tho it's correct according to "the rules"

It's definitely not a democratic cut that will look good on most wearers

Re: Thom Browne

I can understand some negative reaction to his runway shows, they are highly conceptual affairs.  But so are those of most other artsy designers.  I don't get the negative reactions to Black Fleece though.  The jackets are only ever so slightly shorter than a normal jacket, the pants come unhemmed, they're in traditional materials like herringbone and flannel.  Is it worth 2900 for off the rack at Brooks?  Probably not, but how much does an Oxxford OTR cost?  I might even prefer a BF suit to a normal Thom Browne suit.

Re: Thom Browne

Also a Thom Suit recently sold for $350 on StyleForum.  I'm really sorry I missed that.

Re: Thom Browne

I remember meeting Thom Browne before he became all the rage. It was at Neiman Marcus, and a cashmere jumper was only $950 or so.
