Christiansen necktie knot

Is the term 'knuckled' yours or is it a specific style of knot? I'd not heard it before.

I remember a newspaper story in the late 80's about a new tie knot being discovered by a chap in the US and us all trying it in the office. '89-ish?
You started off with the tie the reverse way round and it tied a knot with the tie ending up the right way round. That's all I remember. Not heard of any new knots since.
The thought occurs that you should be covering yourself legally to protect your inventions here. But I'm sure you've thought of that also.
