One thing I have noticed of late in lurking around the land of the BBR is that so much of the discussion these days is being carried on by new chums. I'll look down a thread, and sometimes more than half the posters are chaps who have joined since I commenced my self-imposed exile, not even five months ago. I have the sense that were I to resume posting there, assuming the mods wouldn't ban me for participation here, a very high percentage of the active participants wouldn't have the foggiest notion who I was.
Has this always been the case that a very high percentage of the discussion at Andyland has been carried on by the newbies in the first flush of enthusiasm and I had hitherto been oblivious to this tendency, or is it a real symptom of decline and decay? I note that Sator made some comments about the departure or the decline in participation of a lot of the old stalwarts. In a recent thread, one of the new recruits expressed his satisfaction at the "Cruiser-ification" (my term, not his) of the Andy forum.
