Re: Daniel Craig, 007's, Oscar Tuxedo

I caught a snippet of one of the actors mentioning--and absolutely killing the name--Dominico Vacca.

The plastic hawk, Joan Rivers--almost reaching Faye Dunaway levels of surgery abuse--then quipped "Did he do it for the green card"? while her equine daughter stood looking as desperate as she always does.

I caught about 5 minutes of the ceremonies.  This long necktie business with DJ has got to stop.

1. You'd be insecure, too, if you never knew where your next job was coming from and you had to play those ridiculous political games.
2.Bow ties don't look good on most people(IMHO), even in balck tie.
3.Despite their talents and success, they're basically just regular guys, and most regular guys don't care enough about fashion to 'get it right'.
4.The long tie works depending upon how it's done. Denzel Washington's ivory silk tie and shirt Oscar combo from the '90's(don't remember which) was one of the most sensual, correct ensembles in recent memory. I forgot which designer created that look for him, but others tried(and failed) to copy the simplicity and sexiness of his look from that night.
5.For creative people, the traditional look is boring. So, they try something different. It doesn't always work, but at least give them kudos for having the cojones for opting for something which speaks to and for them, instead of trying to 'belong' by letting their tastes be dictated by someone else's look which, btw, never really looked great on those traditionalists, either. It just didn't look bad,  and there's a definate difference.

He was still around a couple of years ago. He loves his work so l can't imagine why he would stop. He is a true artist, one of the best ever! He designs without limits; nothing is too exclusive for this man.
