Do you still want it?
J.
Both kinds are young men wearing red. But the one in the second photo looks like he's having more fun.
James darling, you are a funny onion, you know and a bit of a silly sausage at times but I know Cheeky appreciates the bizzare friendship you two have struck up.
What do I look for in a well dressed man?
I personally feel that whilst the old adage, clothes maketh the man, carrys some weight, a chaps got to feel comfy in his clothes, not just physical comfort but comforted by the knowledge that the clothes fit both his physique and personality.
Cheeky for example could never carry off or be himself in clothes like Armani, Versace or Gaultier. Yet I know some chaps who look super in that type of high fashion cutting edge clothing.
Cheeky is more of a middle of the road chap with one or two more eccentric ideas, like his insistance of wearing yellow trousers with his blazer, because he thought the look was very smart on some Italian chap he met in Rome on one of his rugby trips. However what I really quite like about Cheekys dress sense is he doesn`t really fuss too much about clothes, If he likes something or wants something he buys it, but then thats an end to it, he wears it and forgets about it.
Do I try to influence him?
Not really, I buy him the occasional thing that I think he will like and off course Birthday and Christmas presents, but always to Cheekys tried and tested formula, Cashmere sweaters, pink , blue or white shirts, plain or checked never striped and off course tattersalls, nowadays always from M&S 100% cotton, he found the viyella 80/20 mix a tad itchy. He has more denim than he knows what to do with as he refuses to throw any out, they just move down the pecking order, new for casual situations, older for gardening or hanging around the house, oldest for dirty or messy jobs like painting.
Nowadays he seems to wear his own designated uniform each day Jeans or cotton trousers, shirt and sweater, if going out tweed jacket, if the weather is wet that old tattered Barbour,I bought him a new one for Christmas, it remains unworn.
How do I like cheeky best?
Tweed jacket.
James,You really are very kind to have gone to such effort for junior, you must let Cheeky pay this time I know Cheeky has found the scuba diving outfit and the german uniform less the stick grenades????? on ebay.
Although the idea that it is little monkey who wants to collect this stuff rather than Cheeky is getting a bit silly.
Love to J and pork pie.
Grace x
Hi Grace!
Always nice to chat. Interesting stuff - Thanks. I agree you can't go wrong with a good Tweed jacket.
Sorry about that link I forwarded to you the other day. Cheeky has explained to me that it wasn't appropriate & I am very sorry.
J. & Pork Pie send their love and thank you for the Apple Charlotte recipe. Your version looks much better than Delia's & we are all looking forward to trying it over Easter.
Best -
James
