There should be an entire thread on Paul Newman. 

He wore some trad pieces in The Hustler and made it look badassed.

Newman in SBOY did make a big impression on me, particularly the white OCBD/black knit tie/seersucker (or was it chambray?) jacket combination.  It also convinced me that Joanne Woodward was pretty hot.  Funny, I just mentioned another Newman/Woodward Ivy-adjacent movie, From the Terrace, in anther thread.
