Belts and your health.

What's the story with belts. Do they really cause an unnatural pressure on organs and have the ability to cause infections?

I wonder if ties could hurt your brain too?

You boys should try wearing a bra, worse still a suspender belt.

Re: Belts and your health.

All I'll say on the subject is I wear braces very often and I'm in perfect health.

Chums,

I thought that belts were only dangerous if shined with Kiwi wink

Perchance bro Vaclav or someone could school us homies on the pantz hangin look to avoid all dangers of belts or braces.

As to the other apparati referred, I shall defer all such research and expertise to bro Russell.

Cheerio.

You're in trouble when they take your belts away.

Re: Belts and your health.

* PMed FNB about resurrectiing old threads first*

Belts can indeed cause injury under extreme circumstances.
My first example is the infamous 'trophy buckle' western belts worn
by riders sporting buckles the size of a 1960s Cadillac hubcap.
I saw a girl in a barrel riding wreck suffer both a lacerated liver from the buckle and soft tissue trauma to her entire waist including kidneys.
The second scenario I know of are plane crashes. Attendants don't tell you to loosen clothing and remove glasses etc without cause. Again, a sudden jarring movement at speed can cause a leather belt to cause torsional, soft tissue damage.
This is one reason, aside from strength, emergency webbing, ie seatbelts are so wide. They spread the contact.

But for normal wear and activity, no.
Medicine has held some pretty unusual theories about our midsection.
During the Spanish-American War our troops wore a woolen wrap that circled the kidneys. It was thought to PROTECT against overheating in the tropics.
Recently, the same updated item was surplussed as a failed cold weather accessory.
Belts can only cause injury if to tight ( restricting surface capillary flow)
or the extreme violent movements as described.

One of the oldest extant belts, that of the ice mummy 'Oetzi' is interesting.
It is of a ergonomic design thought to be a recent invention for backpaks. His was used to distribute the load bearing, via strings of his heavy leggings.

There were no whale motiffs on it.

Another useful belt is the very wide support-belt for long motorcycle rides.

Not that I'd trust the BBC on much of anything...

Maybe I'll start using an old necktie as a cockring. A polyester one, of course, since it is less likely to stain.

Contrary to lies of FNB and Woofboxer, I (and most of the other "Buff Bastards") have been banned from posting on this forum. There are only a few posters left so don't waste your time on here. This forum is dead and nobody cares.
