So this is like the opposite of poor people/middle class who try to pretend their rich by buying expensive things they can't afford. It's rich people pretending to be poor/middle class. "I pay retail just like everyone else." It sounds like these kids aren't getting acceptance outside their rich circles. Reminds me of a song by Pulp called "Common People".

Through the accident of birth, some rich kids will be shy, effacing, and conservative by nature.
Through the accident of birth, some rich kids will be chaotic Paris Hiltons.

Re: 'Born Rich' - the young aristocrats - (not trads...)

My dear and noble Sirs,

I have just completed the task of viewing those motion pictures and I must express that I am quite appalled at the behavior of the young ladies and gentlemen  featured therein. My hopes were set high in the beginning as the young gentleman was seen to be attiring himself in full evening dress, complete with silk topper, but then they were dashed as the other young gentleman who  was disgracefully spewing profanity and citing personal  references to the liberal partaking of illicit substances. I also found myself perplexed at the inclusion of the daughter of Mr Donald Trump, a lovely & charming young lady without a doubt but from a family that would not seem congruent with  the Whitneys, Hornblowers, and Johnsons.  If any lessons might be derived from this little scheme it might be that the very rich are not the emergency brake against the decline of our Civilisation as we might have wished.

I remain, my dear Sirs,

Your Humble and Maudlin Servant,

Theodore Ebeneezer Alphonsus St  Bonar, Esquire.
