Most on Modculture seem to take theirs cues from Steve Marriott-era "mod", which is fine and completely expected. There are a few (heikki, claudio, alex, daniele, etc) who venture beyond the Carnaby St mod ideal, and get the bigger picture.
Makes sense.
Reminds me of "Trad" too, in a way.
The middle ground is always a graveyard. All the acton is always at the limits of what most people think they know.

I guess everone has a diiffernt take on the Mod look (as i've said before)
some go for the 60's Steve Marriott,Others go for the 50's Modernist,some go for the 79 look and others pick and mixs
