Mine are from John Lewis.
- mpcsb says they're Gay.
Hmmmmmm - (again) - White & Blue must be OK, same with all the usual checks & stripes...
Have I gone a pant too far in my Ivy obsession?
I'll need to check my old catalogues, but I suspect that the Pink OCBS (That term is now copyright) is in fact, as mpcsb thinks, outside the cannon.
Any help? I can't remember Brooks or Press doing them. So maybe they are a strange Anglo hybrid.
Horace?
J.
i did not say they were gay, i said anyone who wears them might be, there's a difference
Gay or no, in any color oxford cloth boxers would have to be washed an awful lot of times before I felt comfortable enough to trust my valuables to them. Same with seersucker boxers, they sound like a good idea but they are not that comfortable in hot weather.
I have a pink pair...from Brooks...from about three years ago.
And, I'm not gay and not headed that way.
I have a pair of pink OCBS, but then, I'm gay. I've moved the ball neither forward nor backwards.
I also have a pair of pink linen boxers. 10m gain.
... Probably what is most Gay is the fact that I discuss my underwear with mpcsb...
Taking 1990 as a watershed year due to the Marks & Spencer take-over of Brooks I think prior to that point the Ivy underpant (Ivypant for short) was always a sober affair. We now all live in a more colourful world.
I have never seen a Yellow OCBS offered either thinking back. The new Brooks doubtless do them now too.
Mercer's are pinpoint: http://www.mercerandsons.com/pima_cotton_boxer_shorts.htm Any good?
Best -
