I saw a chum at the weekend who'd just got one of the new 'Ivory' Baracutas. He wore it with a White OCBD, very Pale Fawn twill jeans & Mid-Brown Suede Chukkas. A nice look I thought. Kinda Steve McQ.
I'm in old Khaki Chino shorts & a pale Blue Polo today, both LL Bean.
Camp mocs (Bean again) for when I pop out.
I already have sunburn.
Thoughts on this?

I like the style but that white zip looks wrong.
It's a rainy day, no clients are coming in and I'm mildly hungover, so no suit and tie today.
DB navy blazer
Cheap reds from Land's End Overstocks
Blue OCBD
Pocket square with light blue border and dots on a dark blue field.
Loafers and argyle socks in colors that might not really go with the reds.
There's a bow tie shoved in my pocket in case of emergency.
Earlier today (champagne for the sponsors on the first day of the season at our local outdoor pool, Mrs M. is involved as a volunteer):
white leather w. burgundy trim Dunlop Green Flash
Black/dark red/off white argyles
faded khakis
very old brown leather belt
red gingham 3BD short-sleeved shirt over white T-shirt
And now (at home after a barbie and a good few Tom Collinses):
brown Hawkshead driving mocs, sockless
beige/yellow checked Bermudas, single-pleated and uncuffed
navy Guernsey sweater over marl-grey T
(the 'two islands' outfit )

Today is grey, cold and rainy in The Sticks. I'm only in the office for a few hours and then home with #2 sprog. So:
White OCBD
Cotton crew-neck sweater in navy with, for lack of better descriptors, a sort of neo-argyle in yellow, green and red from the English Sport Shoppe in Hamilton, Bermuda.
Darkish jeans with about one inch of roll up on the bottom. Two reasons for that: 1. I like the contrast, 2. I'm short.
Navy socks.
Tan/blue saddle shoes. The thick crepe sole works well in the rain.
Barbour.

Blue/Green/Yellow/White "Madras" shorts. 9" cotton checked numbers from LLB. Not real Madras therefore.
White T. Hanes.
Cotton Knit Crew. Pale Blue. LLB again.
By 11am at the latest it will be too hot for the Cotton Knit (The sun needs to work its way 'round first otherwise I'd ditch the sweater now).
Camp Mocs. Cactus. LLB again again.

Navy supah 120 pinstripe in sky blue, 6/3 double breasted suit, covered buttons; white tab-clubcollar shirt; linen hanky, vintage copper-like cufflinks, Prussian blue-red-white repp tie, navy socks with red dots, chocolate brown side-laced, chisel toed shoos.
In a City-gent mood...

Brown driving mocs, no socks, black/white/navy/dark green w. red and yellow overcheck tartan bermudas, striped snake belt in greyish-olive, red, light brown and beige, black polo-shirt, navy v-neck. Just hanging around at home, Mrs M watching 'Big Brother', God help us...
red gingham check ss bd (ben sherman), burgundy sleeveless v-neck (quite a small v), dark denim jeans w/ 3/4 inch turnups (form h&m of all places, d'oh!), black belt, burgundy socks, black florsheim imperials, dark red baracuta. got a lot of stick from mrs. heikki for looking 'too skinhead' lol (will look even more so in a few hours, off to have my barnet cut on lunchtime..)
in this outfit i feel so good i'd like to have a photo taken of me which normally certainly isn't the case.

OK Heikki, you inspired me:
black brogues, dark green socks, rolled-up H&M jeans (can't do those mini-turnups though; mine are nearer 2"), black leather belt with brogue pattern, red gingham short-sleeved 3BD shirt, skinny midnight-green cotton cardie (no pockets), natural-coloured G9
#3 crop of course on top, 80s G-Shock on wrist
moose, sounds spot on! (nice to be an inspiration,m cheers!)
today i didn't want to p''ss my mrs off too much so i went for subtler subcultural references lol:
red/white striped brooks bros ocbd, gray o neck merino wool top of a no-name manufacturer, same jeans asn yesterday, bloody love 'em!, chestnut brown belt, red socks, chestnut brown slim-ish soled plaiun italian lace-ups (actually the colour is more like burgundy/oxblood these days as i polish the shoes with burgundy polish and occasionally with a black one), beige short mac, burgundy small paisley silk scarf, brooks bros shades, a new 8-4-2ish haircut. well happy: a few hours work at my office, then off to lunch + a few friday pints with a good mate!
^
Looking exemplary as ever Daniele!
Today for no particular reason:
tan suede chukkas, dark olive socks, H&M jeans, pink/blue/white gingham BD, skinny old T.M. Lewin tie (Gurkha Rifles - dark green with little crossed kukris all over, just for that little touch of barbarity), orange shetland v-neck, natural-coloured G9.
Reds cut down into shorts.
Bean Seersucker BD.
No knickers.
Camp mocs outdoors in the garden. That's as far as I'm going today. S'nice.
J.
Glad it's nice in England today, Russell, but it sucks in Pennsylvania. It's cold and rainy, so a three piece, DB navy flannel chalkstripe suit and the cordo gunboats. All that on the Tuesday before Memorial Day weekend. There ain't no justice.
I'm brightening things up with a deliberatly loud combination of red gingham check shirt with a yellow tie sporting outsize light blue, orange and dusty red paisleys.
Sand desert boots, baby blue piqué socks, faded C&A khakis, stripy snake belt, ivory BD, black silk kit BB tie (both ends 2 1/8"), light-coloured BB tweed sack jacket. Trying to look casual desite the tie (tie-wearing is pushing out the boat a bit far where I work...) - the whole ensemble just looked a bit anaemic without it.
If the weather warms up as expected, I'll lose the jacket and tie later.

Black brogues, black socks with white hoops, rolled-up H&M jeans, old black leather belt w. brass buckle, blue/red/pink gingham BD, black merino cardigan, natch.-col. G9.
Wanted to wear the old brogues today; they dictate the rest. It was either Highland daywear or this.
I'm wearing a European take on an American look:
American take on a Venetian loafer
European take on the khaki pant
European take on the American button-down
Scottish v-neck knit
Colours are typical menswear colours
SB 3b charcoal chalk striped suit, blue bengal striped shirt, navy tie with small blue spots (close together) red socks and very dark brown lace ups.
