Re: A Defense of Manton: Enough is Enough

I think you're way out to lunch, mafoofan. Only a tiny fraction of posts here are directed at Mantoni but he's blown them out of proportion. Also, you're a relative rookie when it comes to being strongarmed by moderators, as many of our senior guys around here will tell you. Mantoni plays a shitty game of poking people and then crying buckets when someone pokes back. He's an intellectual thug who can't take it and he deserves every bit of mud that get slung at him. Don't be fooled by his standard "I am so hard done by, why don't people just love me" line, as it's just bullshit. If he got the drop on any of us you may be sure he'd jam the knife in without thinking twice.

The fantastic dialogue keeps going here, irrespective of what is posted on the fora, maybe you're just missing it. I cannot see what all the "offensive comments" that are alleged to have been posted, as any that bit that description are few and far between.

That is why some of us laugh loudly when Mantoni starts going on about how FNB set up this board just to pick on Mantoni...what incredible ego!

*****

Oh sorry...were you being ironic?

I have to agree with mafoofan. Regardless of the genesis of the spats or the egos etc. It'd be more productive for everyone to bury the hatchet. Since these are clothing boards, perhaps it'd be better to discuss clothes rather than personalities.

end of 2 cent spiel.

Re: A Defense of Manton: Enough is Enough

Mafoofan why do you need to come and defend him and why doesn't he defend himself? Not that I even think he is on trial. who do you think is trying him? The things he writes on SF seem to be a whole lot nastier and personal than anything that gets written here. I have never seen an authority act like this.

All sorts of people end up on the Inane Post of the Day thread, what makes him special?

Re: A Defense of Manton: Enough is Enough

I'm with mafoofan on this - I have never found manton to be anything other than helpful. I've asked him more than my fair share of 'inane' questions (many deserving nothing more than a sarcastic reply) and always received a polite, well-thought out, response.

I see a fair share of posts here that seem to indicate that he has done certain FNB members a grave injury by his past actions, but have never heard of any proof (or even details).

No, the other way around. That many FNB members hate him as they believe to be wronged by him in the past.
