I like waist suppression but don't wear the more extreme examples in the US unless I'm trying to make a point of being English :-)

Russell,

I don't think that DB jackets are fattening per se.  I wear them often and to good effect.  I just see the potential for the big box of buttons on a 6x3 combined with the shorter length of the lapels to pose hazards for stockier sorts.  Could be wrong, though.  I'd have to try one on somewhere before I'd commit to having one made.

I was just musing again to be honest...

I do see your point though. The 6x3 may not be the best design to elongate the ol' body.
