Anyone else like the more European aristocratic look ? I like when Valentino does a really classic look its very classic and sauve . The baron de Rede and people you see with him in photos have the same kind of style.

Perhaps you could flesh out what you mean by aristocratic look? I could also fix the title of the thread, if you like.
I kind of get it & I kind of don't.
Valentino presents a certain de luxe fantasy of a certain kind of European nobleman and de Rede is always a good name to mention, but the reality of the European Aristocrat is something different again.
I see Valentino as being on the rocky road which leads to Versace (but maybe that's just me). It's a money look more than a class related look to me. Very different things in Europe.
Breaking this down a little more would be good.
Best -
Valentino has always struck me as more a St.Tropez Gstaad look than real aristocrat, which tends to bring up images of dated bespoke clothes and expensive little knick-knacks.

Maybe I just like the European playboy look. Polo playing with a tan, slicked back hair and the slighty more flash clothes.
No I'm more with Valentino and the Great Gatsby look . I like a bit of Versace but more the silk shirts for the sort of Pucci look. Theres a picture on the net of Baron de Rede sitting in a gilded room with two men. Both men are wearing the look I like a flashier aristocratic look. Does anyone know anything about Baron de Rede ? I've heard of him but don't know much about him X
Rede is an easy Google. The guy wasn't shy. There's a lot out there for you to read.
Gatsby & Valentino in the same breath has my attention even more. Thinking of who Gatsby actually was I think you've hit on something rather profound here.
Green Carnation or Rose in the bottom pic? Maybe it's a tiny cabbage?

Interesting how the Baron's narrow feet literally gave him a foot in the door in the post-war Parisian haute monde

I once knew a chap called Alisdair - Is that more Scottish than Alistair?
I'm no Viscount (to me that's just a minty biscuit) but I was born in London against my mother's will. Out I popped before she could get back to Oxford & there I was.
... She often says that I ruined her best nylons in the process.
Women!

I was talking to the Viscount below you. Maybe I should be in the Great Gatsby coustumes by Valentino scenery by Fourcade and Denning X
VT has never been below me - Check his avatar - He's a top!

Just a wanna be social climber. So how are you Mr Viscount ? Where you from ? X
Don't answer him, VT. He wants to talk to me but doesn't know it yet. The whole of the Internet is like this.
Edit: Too late, you answered him.
It's sad for me to be so old and slow. I've had a bad foot lately too...
