who like clothes but dont want high search costs or wait times for bespoke.
It occurs to me that some people just dont have the desire for custom suits. I don't get a lot of ready to wear but my tailor, Nino Corvato gets to examine a lot of rtw suits that existing customers buy (for so many reasons) and bring in for alterations. I wont go into the brands that he thinks are not worthwhile but he does think a great deal of Canali's ready made suits and jackets. They aren't exactly free, carrying a $800 -1,200 and up price tag but if you fit into what they make and you want something quality for less than the route of custom, you might want to consider Canali.
Mr. Corvato likes their family owned sense of pride and their design, construction, materials are top notch. They are made in a conservative pan Italian style, mostly two and three button single breasted which should have a somewhat broad appeal.
If you don't like their styling, I cant help you and if you want some cheaper bespoke, that's up to you. I am posting this for mainstream men who are not obsessed with clothes or custom makes and want to look smart at the office.
Would like to second this for what it's worth
A few years back I've bought a pair of cotton/silk strides from Canali that I'm very happy with. Bottoms had to be finished and some nice detailing overall, they're in sky blue BTW and absolutely very handsome and stylish

I think Canali make great ties. In fact they're my current fav's...
I'll have to take notice. I've put on a few sportcoats at Saks before.
Also, a local men's store that recently picked up Canali claims they are very satisfied with the MTM/Order program.
I've been meaning to go back and take a look.
My tailor doesn't say many good things about RTW, but he does say good things about upper level Canali and Brioni.
He also says Brioni is beautifully engineered and has moved with the times, but Oxxford and Kiton are stuck in the past and make dreadful highend RTW. He also says that Borrelli does beautiful buttonholes.
