Oh well, at least the Gucci overcoat isn't as expensive as the Armani custom suit line (75,000 Pounds).
l'm sure if Gucci sold 18 K gold patterned toilet paper ($500 a roll) they would sell it too. lmagine all those glamourous hollywood parties where it could be used. The ultimate exclusive statement.
lt's amazing how much a brand name can get ignorant people to part with such large bucks. The Gucci store is always full of people in Melbourne.

The problem with an item like this is presumably you're spending the money for admiration by others. At least that has to play a a part. And while cashmere may be out of reach for many, it is still something they can relate and aspire to. A Vicuna coat and/or a 75,000 pound suit is something almost no one will notice, understand or appreciate. So the vicious circle here, is even if you can throw the money away on such an item, why would you want to, and what will people think of someone that does?
I think as FNB has said before in one of his essays, your average Joe/Josey (?) find it easier to understand a brand they know what it's about, to him/her it means you've got money, you're successful and so on...The irony is that bespoke is far more exclusive, far more personal, it is by definition a complete one off, no one else on the planet posses what you own, however in some cases that may be a blessing... nevertheless it is quite a delicious irony, well, for me it is anyway...
