The title is from Stephen Calloway's essay in the catalogue to the Victoria & Albert Museum's 'The Studio' exhibition of... when?... late 90's? I could check - In fact I really should - While I'm at it I'll check the quote Calloway used for the title of his essay.
Anyway, the idea is that Dandyism is... EVERYTHING. Not just clothes but... a design for living. Everything can be a Dandy choice - food, wine, curtains, the lot.
Kick the idea around if you like.
Not a Dandy myself, but the idea of aesthetic choice as a way to live strikes a definately resonate chord with me.
(I wonder how many words I have misspelt in the above... How will I ever know?)
