I "need" Sneakers for the frst time in my life...
Vans?
Keds?
All Stars?
I know nothing of any of this stuff.
I never did P.E. due to getting hit on the head in my first year (Did I mention?).
I only want these shoes to hang around in (It's a part of my new lifestyle...).
I like these:

Any other options you like?
Thanx -
Ol Chum,
I do fancy the All Stars and the Lacoste infra.
Might I suggest.

Since we're not talking about real athletic shoes, how about:

l haven't worn sneakers or rubber soled footwear in nearly 20 years. l hate shoos with a grip (rugged sole). l h8 sneakers with a passion.

- Best way to scuff the hell out them for that 'Jesmond' look?
People should be banned from wearing sneakers outside of sport. l've never seen such a horrible piece of clothing ever. Sneakers are thoroughly foul....true ugly ducklings.

Those are in a similar vein as what others have suggested :

^ Really, really great stuff, bro.
- Go East young man!
(& thanx for the proxy links in the 'Faves' thread up top)
... ... ... ...
Bags of style here. Classic Americana. No attitudes. No manifestos. Just perfect!
See folks? This stuff is for everyone.

^ Of course the irony of getting your feet all covered in piss and putting them back into your shoes is no doubt lost on today's marketing geniuses. I was intrigued to see the "Grubbies" ad from 1966, since today Converse among others offer pre-distressed shoes. Fashion is an endless circle, it seems...
Lacoste Rene, a classic from 1963:

Also available in white.
I take it that you'd wear the sneakers without socks. Leather sneakers with fused lining get your feet really sweaty, so may I recommend that you go for canvas?

I see a lot of old people wearing these gigantic bright white sneakers. I need to wear my sunglasses, when looking at them.
