Re: When does style become costume?

From the ABC of Mens' Fashion:
Costume
Do not eschew the word. It merely means the ordinary dress of men and women according to the fashion of the time. Outfit and ensemble are less desirable words to express this. "Costum2 has only become a woman's word in present use because for the past 60 years men have taken comparatively little interest in their fashion.

^ So you know my mate John too?

We all need to PM & join up the dots here.

Our team is in place & we just need to pull it all together now.

We can meet on Russell Street or Richmond Hill -

Jim.

Re: When does style become costume?

A cyber meet. A meeting of minds. A pooling of resources.

Both Mr Richmond Hill and I are very interested in all the Ivy style fans we've met here.

... Trad isn't for us, but that's OK. We still take an interest in its development. Our focus is more on the Classic American 'Ivy League' style.

If there are any other fans out there then we welcome PMs from them too.

This is a style which is for everyone after all. Always was.

Jim.

I'll be heading out to Russell St between Xmas ---> NYE in a few months.  Hopefully there will be SOMETHING worthwhile to do on New Years' eve.
