Remember these ?

Obviously thinner sole and no storm welt

They look good in a shop. When you wear them the fringe turns up. Even proper golf shoes dispense with a fringe these days.

Boat shoes do not help loafer sales. They are similar, but boat shoes are more flexible in every sense.

Re: Remember these ?

I remember them... but I only remember this particular shoe model from the mid 90's. A few friends of mine wore them. They were made by Loake and I think I read somewhere that Loake makes Charles Tyrwhitt shoes nowadays. They looked kinda cool with ice blue sta-prest for example. Not for me though.

Re: Remember these ?

I see shoes like these a lot. I'm not into them, but they seem to be popular.

Re: Remember these ?

Are they not the Loake "Brighton" by any other name?

A UK copy of the kind of American Ivy loafers sold by JS. Very Anglo rather than Ivy tho'. They have their own look which is kinda Street I think. They go with Sta-Prest & Harrington copies... Oh - And a Ben Sherman of course.
