The French shop assistants often don't understand English very well let alone Strine. The NYC shop will not ship to you (I tried that once upon a time and ended up going there in personal eventually). My best bet would be Tom at Leathersoul in Hawaii. At least the time difference between Melbourne and Honolulu is trivial (it makes things very easy dealing with Tom actually). Tom is very quick to respond to e-mail queries, and is very helpful. I recommend him highly. If he can't help you nobody can.

BTW do check with Tom regarding sizing. I get a nagging feeling that perhaps that last ran a little wide and that the pair of shoes on that last I tried on in NYC might have been a 7C rather the default 7D I wear with most JMW lasts. As I say, that was almost 2 years ago so perhaps memory is failing me here.
