This is very common sense, and I am sure all the "book-religions" give similar advice...

Yet, certain Catholics have a tendency for the ostentatious. Maybe, that's because many Catholics don't really live by the book?

Of course, Dr. Teplitz. Rabbinic law does not classify goat hair as "wool," so you're home free with a cashmere/silk/linen blend.
