great looking shoes.

My first reaction was the same as yours, when I first got my Budapesters I was surprised at how light they are, as they seem very heavy in pics.  And the overall shape has much more elegance in real life that just doesnt get captured in most photos (the Vass book has the best and most accurate representations of the Budapesters imo)

Great shoes! 

All of my Vass shoe trees stretch the shoe back out to it's original shape.  I like them, though I'd prefer a hinged tree like you see with bespoke shoes.

l've had the most dreadful nightmares over the last 3 weeks. l had a dream that the postal worker called by my office. She said that she had a parcel from Vass. Next to my parcel was my Budapesters, however the brutish old lady said they were not for me. She handed me an unimpressive box with my shoos inside. When l opened the box...., ......, they were synthetic `sneakers' (made in China). l nearly had a fit....total shock. l argued with her (disgusted), but she never believed me (despite me pulling out the Vass book). Then i'd wake up in a cold sweat. ls this importing bullsh*t really worth it?  lt will shorten my precious life.

I haven't described it as magic, but my Vass are the only dress shoes I've ever owned that feel completely harmonious on my feet.  I put them on and walk, dance, etc and never notice any sort of discomfort at all.  I can't say the same for the two pairs of EG I owned then sold.

The Budapesters are great with a thicker sock. l wore mine in the very rainy streets tonight. They look a mess. mad 


The E.G's still look lovely. Beautiful looking lasts with beautiful designs.

lmagine if FNB become hooked on VASS. lol.  l'd love to see that. He'd be a man of the F last. wink

Mr Artioli always had a theory, not that l believe it. He always said that he believed in a handmade shoe with a very thin sole. He said his shoes pick up sensitive vibrations from the Earth and good things happen.

Well, hopefully i'm not imagining things but l feel my VASS are picking up good vibrations. wink

Vass is good......very very good. l'm going to have to remember not to wear my `farm-shoos' up to the ole woodshed. l've f**ked up too many good pairs that way. haha wink
