This one wasn't MB trolling but funny anyway and your post reminded me of it. I was looking at a saddle bag for a bicycle on a website with loads of credible bicycle knowledge. All of a sudden it stated that 'cotton duck' isn't actually made of cotton, it's in fact tiny tiny strips of skin from duck feet, woven into a cloth. That's why it's waterproof.
