I was wearing a butter yellow linen shirt with a pair of medium grey medium weight wool pants and suede loafers with yellow socks. Its so hot and humid here the dye from the shoe came off on the hosiery.
I might just as well pack my summer clothes away...
Dunlop Green glash tennis shoes (white leather with burgundy trim)
baby blue piqué cotton socks
H&M STF jeans with 2" roll-ups
mid-blue BD
navy lambswool v-neck
beige Brooks balmacaan mac, with tie in pocket (heavy matte silk Brooks, dusky red w. navy/gold paisleys - I now realise, too heavy for the summer)
black umbrella
natural linen grandfather shirt
navy (but badly faded) Kettle Creek cargo shorts
natural jute ball-cap (helmet and do-rag muss up my hair)
heavy leather sandals
took the motorcycle to LaSalle Park for the August Civic Holiday (that's Simcoe Day in Ontario) Festival with the wife and kids (they took the Aurora); then lunch on the rooftop at The Rude Native
Who made the suit?
I think this suit calls for darker, less matching accessories. The tie and pocket square together are not working for me. I don't have a problem with any of the items (shirt, square, tie) individually and the overall look isnt bad but it is a little studied and if you were wearing a rich blue shirt or a blue shirt with red and/or white stripes. that suit is pale and a bit washed out. In spite of the stripes you can practically treat it like a light grey solid.
I dunno what your shirt or pocket square selection is...except for the green
The guy on the bottom reminds me of Danny Kaye.
Umm, i wouldn't wear a white collared Grey shirt with that suit. I mean you can, and judging by your ties do, wear what you want. I suppose it's kind of hard to pick things that will always work for you but let's assume some artistically nice things and some things that work whether they have that designer matchy-matchy flair or not. I think you can refer to the redness of the stripe without trying to replicate the color in the shirt.
