If I had the money!!! In the end I will probably only take a sportscoat, maybe a few shirts and a college scarf... Maybe Davenport...
One of the best for a while, eh?
Good to see the Burgundy Shetland back. Donkey Brown deserves to come back too.
As I see it there's J. Press, J. Simons & O'Connells. But let's see what Brooks do with Southwick...
Above them remain Paul Stuart & The Andover Shop.
Life ain't so bad.

^ Who is probably above the lot of them IMO from what I've been told.
Time to stop pretending that this is a dying style yet?
Re: The Donkey Brown Shetland - Go Andover, btw.
Best -
I was rather saddened to see that Press had no wool neckties to speak of. They had a good selection last year, and I bought four. Had I known that they wouldn't be offering them this year, I would have stocked up with a few more.
the square ones are nice:

as fas as I know, this style was invented in Italy, so it's not pure Ivy, but I like it!
I'd never thought about where the knit tie comes from!
I've always seen it as a really Ivy style item.
Interesting stuff!
The Brown is between the Lemon Yellow ('Buttercup") & the Charcoal Grey on the lower right hand side. Andover call it "Cocoa Brown":

It was last in the J. Press catalogue in 2003 (back before the invention of Trad!) as 'Brown Mix'.
'Donkey Brown' may well be an English name.
Purely a PS - I saw a chap in Paris wearing a Wool Peacoat in this shade of brown once & it looked very good. Very distinctive when compared to all the Blues, Blacks & Greys which you normally see. Never seen one like that before or since. He wore it with a Mid-Grey Cable knit Crewneck & Dark Denim jeans... Funny the things you remember sometimes...

I want this:

It can be Italian & Ivy!
Ivy is such a magpie style.
The scarf could be a great way to hide darts!
Cambridge Grey? We don't hear much about that in the UK. Oxford Grey is the shade we talk about most. Wonder what the difference is? Is Cambridge a bit lighter?
Anybody know?
