Many good videos here (Forms, old lad, that Chaka tune is da shit), but let's be serious for a moment: this is undoubtedly the greatest song ever recorded:

Mick Hutchence, wasn't he the pop star who died under very delicate circumstances probably strangling himself while masturbating?

Re: 80s music video of the day

No one up for 80s futurism?

Maybe you feel like these guys:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AlH2oYedfk

The Smiths - Panic

...hang the dj!!!!

Actually, I don't spin this electro/hip hop/house etc. stuff when I am djing... I play mostly vintage R&B, soul, funk and some jazz with my mates... but I am not a 60s throwback ("only hand made music") type of person. When I dj with my brother we always play a wild style mix of these rare old discs, that still sound fresh and some of that brand new stuff, that fits in with the old stuff...just like Berry Gordy said, it's the groove that counts....so we might as well play some Madchester/Baggy stuff, some Daisy Age Hip Hop, Breakbeats, Acid Jazz, Big Beat, and some contemporary R&B/ dance stuff and some Indie Rock, you know, all sorts of good music...
