Just re-checked the book and it does indeed say 'colors'. My brain must have just seen what it wanted to see!

I'm not sure whether Jimbo was referring to Moby Dick here or a solid-gold Ivy item. But Cordings, yes, possibly. Inexpensive? Not very likely.
