LEVI'S vintage 1955 501 XX rigid indigo shrink to fit- limited edition
Saturday in the local Levi's shop.
Yes, they have them! Big E red tab, dark blue indigo, very stiff, they shrink about 1 or 2 sizes in width and about 2 or 3 sizes in length. It depends, I guess, on the way you wash them. I had different experiences with other STFs, some only shrunk very little.
You can't try them on, you have to shrink them, wearing them wet, right after washing, or sit in that bathtub like in the old commercials.
Only problem, they want about 260 bucks for those pants!

ironically, they're easier to find in the UK than the USA
the LVC selvedge repros used to sell for $150 as recently as about 3 years ago....nowadays they're pretty hard to find.
try this place, it's a German site but good prices and very fast shipping. Have bought a few items and they've been very reliable

Cheapest place I've found for vintage re-issue denim of the Levi/Lee/Wrangler variety is online at aeroleatherclothing.com based in Scotland. Had the 1947 version 501's from them with next day delivery at around £50 a pair cheaper than in London shops. A lot of other keenly priced items too. Definitely worth a look.
