I see more members of AAAT have calved off from the mothership to lauch this:

Does the world really need another forum (sic, Fora) dedicated to Trad?
I didn't see where it was by invitation only, merely that because of technical difficulties they were not accepting new registrants at the moment.
I wonder who they are.
It looks like Duck, a AAAT veteran, is one of the principals. It's another nail in the coffin of Andyland.
I wouldn't be so sure. I spent a few minutes browsing the fora and woke up, face down on the keyboard, drool on the space bar, it was that fucking dull.
Although I was pleased to see A Squire posting there (his posts are one of the few things that keep me interested in browsing AAAT), the rest of that crowd was pure inanity.
I am just not sure how long an entire MB can survive solely discussing which needlepoint belts are the most vibrant, and what color made in Venezuela Bass Weejuns look best with Bill's M1.
I like the fact that they've taken charge of the subject. Trad for Trads.
They let me in yesterday so we'll see... I'm chatting to Andy again too about this & that. Harris' Curriculum post the other day was a good step on his behalf I think. Not sure about the future of AAAT though...
We'll see.

I notice that perennial Internet forum favorite the fit of the Allen-Edmonds #5 last has surfaced already on thecurriculum.net. You'd think that topic would be tediously familiar to anyone who has spent more than a week or two perusing the clothing fora.
Exactly my point, they are not even remotely breaking new ground, nothing fresh. If you look at all of the posts, they are all retreads from AAAT from another time, even the one about the socks not staying up around the calves. I wish them the best in their new endeavor, but they are tipping dangerously close to inanity and they have only been around a week. They will need to find an angle quickly, or all is lost.
I may not even post in fact. This isn't my project.
My interest in The C. is the same as my interest in AAAC/AAAT/The Preppy Journal/Etc.
A marketing opportunity.
