On a tip from an acquaintance, I bought a copy of "Menswear" at Barnes & Noble. I think the magazine shows promise. The spring 2006 issue has a cool piece on Neopolitan tailoring. It is an oversized magazine with sumptious photos and at $5.95 is worth investigating.
I'll stop by B&N on my way home. Is it a brand new publication?
I dunno. I think it is. The editor announces it as a spin off of DNR Magazine. It certainly hasn't been around long.
Menswear has been around for at least a couple of years, I think. Many of you may not be familiar with it because it only comes out twice a year. I think I shall have to hie myself down to the local B&N to get a copy in a few minutes.
I believe it was in his column in Menswear that Flusser made his egregious endorsement of short-sleeved shirts.
I agree that the international publications are the best. There are also the Continental men's Vogues, whcih are quite nicely done with their photo spreads unlike their insipid American cousins.
Assouline and Taschen are nice for fashion books.
I like Vogue Homme and Vogue L'Uomo
I'd be interested to hear what else is on the market, too.
Suggestions and contacts, please?
Such mags are scarce in my part of the country.
Here is an apparently free subscription to the Menswear periodical:

Any new mags to recommend?
"The iGent Wank Review"
"Brown Suit Sodomists Weekly"
"Social Climbing via Semi-Bespoke Tailoring Illustrated"
Beeston, I think you are a bit backed up.

Beeston, I wasn't asking for your personal study list!
