I politely asked people if they'd 'make my day' yesterday and AQG most certainly obliged with that pic, that's for sure
today: blue/ white rugby top, blue/ white stripe OCBD, white T- shirt, LL Bean khakis, burgundy weejuns, Colani reefer jacket...
last night absolutely non- Ivy: ice blue turtleneck, ochre (sp ?) Pierre Cardin- style zip- up jacket with lots of zip pockets, extremely slim waisted and flared skirting, wide suede belt; bedford cord hipsters, slightly kick out, purple socks, basket weave chisel toe gibsons, and a huge 70s vintage spaceman watch...
the space commander look!
about as casual as I'll get at work at the moment: black chelsea boots, deep red socks, yesterday's jeans, Ye Olde Tradde Fitte Brooks supima BD in pink, navy lambswool crewneck and natural coloured G9

Cheers Horace for your comment about my European-spin, it was actually what I aimed to obtain!
AQG, you look really cool in that pic; moreover, it's an excellent example of appropriate use of color for business attire imo.
Yesterday took a detour from the ivy observance, it was a blue with sky blue pinstripe double breasted suit (6/3, covered buttons, very long side vents), purple shirt with white contrasting collar and french cuffs, vintage tie with 'a pastilles' pattern, purple Gallo socks and black 60s NOS chiseled Italian laceups.
Today it's again the PoW number with white shirt (pinned collar), black slim knit tie, white 'presidential' hanky, charcoal Pantherellas and black tasselweejuns (if they're good enough for black tie..;-)

rather 'preppy' today but not with nauseating eighties color schemes or baggy trousers, instead, slim-cut + rather muted colourwise:
a pale blue cut-away-collar shirt, a pale gray merino crewneck (the shirt collars not 'in' but 'out'), dark denim jeans w 3/4" turnups, chestnut brown belt, chestnut brown plain lace-up shoes, thin-ish soled w/ a square-ish toe, pale gray / gray / charcoal argyle socks, gray tweed jacket, slim-cut, 4 button, not natural but not heavy-filled shoulders, no vents, the same cream short mac i wore yesterday or the day before.
Oddly warm again today here in Momzershire:
Blue BD. Flap pocket
Khaki Khakis. Flat front.
Wine Surcingle belt.
Camp Mocs. Cactus.
Once Navy cotton socks.
Cotton Crewneck for the cool of the evening. Hunter Green.
Old watch on old striped strap - 3 shades of Blue.
Old face under new haircut.
You?
Best -
J.

yeah, that's a fantastic look, B.O.O. Reminds me of Richie Tenenbaum. And the pipe is pure class.

Seems like a cord jacket frenzy hit the FNB Ivy Community these days..:-)
For me it's cord 3 button sportscoat, white shirt (pinned collar), tartan silky slim tie (square bottom), brown trousers, dark brown socks, biscuit suede almond toe Italian slipons.
A short tan raincoat, a bit worn out but I like it..
Yesterday for a rideout: black leather zip-up jacket (waist lenght, mandarin collar), ochre turtleneck, off white levi's Staprest, lilac/purple horizontal striped Gallo socks, pale blue suede driving mocassins Sabelt.
Driving gloves, Davida helmet, Baruffaldi vintage goggles, a paisley scarf in aviation blue/white tones.
Scooter is a pale sky blue so everything matched:-)

Yo Boo, that Press cord kit is top drawer.

Ahhh - You need to find a bad tailor! (They do exist!)
I got turned down by a chap & so I went to a scumbag who did it for me. The trick is to just open up the fabric & then sew this binding stuff to the back of it to stop it from fraying.
EG brown brogues
navy socks
501 buttonfly
navy web belt
pink/white uni stripe oxford shirt
pale yellow wool sweater vest

That's it.
