The penny drops. It's an entry level construct. The best guys move on. Those really into Trad go to The Curriculum, those with a taste for complexity to the point where it hurts the head come here. 'Ivy Style' is another option pitched in another way & then there are all the blogs.
Me?
I edit now & cheerlead. Sometimes I write poems about my shoes...
Trad is dead, long live 'trad'!

I can't even bring myself to reply to that thread. Trip Reed is right on.

I enjoy the point of view that everything has already been said about Classic Traditional American style by guys who have barely scratched the surface of the subject.
They probably have said all there is to say about 'trad', but that's a very different thing. I hoping that the Curriculum site will develop the construct further & I wish them very well.
'trad' is a straightjacket & a dead end. It's just too narrow & dumbed down to ever fly with anybody who's any good for very long. As Tucker says on another thread over there - 'trad' isn't even Traditional.
In the end all there is is Harris who clings to it & a bunch of dumb guys off the Internet.
I like Classic Traditional American style from all angles, but then I talk Ivy. I don't talk 'trad'.

"but most of the threads seems to have been started, resuscitated and finished by Russell himself."
They do get that part right
Long may it continue btw
