Re: Let's talk Plaid...

Kuhn, an MTM chain, with a store in Bonn have a subtle POW fabric, and one of my mates got a very smart high gorge DB suit (I believe it was an 8x4) with covered buttons from that cloth. It's a little bit Lucky Luciano style updated, but it works very well with him.

I didn't like the POWs at my tailor's, but I like his country plaids, window panes and microchecks very much...

Re: Let's talk Plaid...

For the Ivy style, plaid is more or less a pattern for sports coats and odd trousers, I guess...

POW might be the exception, but it tends to be neglected, in general... There's a strong preference for the solid suit, for business suits as well as for lounge suits.

I'm tempted for one of my next suits, but I will probably go for some solid blue or grey again...

I might go there for POW, but I guess, they might only have the solids and stripes that are usually in demand nowadays... if someone else has a good suggestion for me, I'll keep my eyes wide open...

Re: Let's talk Plaid...

I couldn't find a video of their song, 'Bad in Plaid," but this will have to suffice.
