Re: There is a new J.Simons website

What was the magazine that pretended to be about naturism - but was really an excuse to show photographs of large breasted women with enormous thatches of hair between there legs and benath their arms-along with pot bellied men with very small willies-probably Germanic in origin.

After viewing this magazine I really went for hirsute women and fell head over heels in love with one girl who had hair extending to her belly button from her bush in a thick black line.

I also fell very much in love with a Greek girl who was as equally hairy but with the added bonus of incredibly hairy forearms.

Great uncle Gomez - things are tip top with me-had somewhat of an emotional roller coaster ride for a few months- but after extensive counseling and with medication -things are looking good and to quote Johnny Nash, Jimmy Cliff and Bob Marley " I can see clearly now the rain has gone I can see all obstacles in my way -Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind-it`s goin to be a bright, bright, bright sunshiny day"

Quentin my counsellor says this is my mantra and to repeat it in times of need.

Re: There is a new J.Simons website

Much of the hard porn came from continental Europe- particually places like Amsterdam- a friend of mine took the ferry over to Amsterdam for a long weekend of oblivion in the "coffee houses" determined to add to his ever expanding collection of porn- he taped a number of very hard core porn magazines
( featuring "insertions" of various everyday household objects) to his legs in an attempt to evade her Majestys custom and excise personel- this master plan however failed at the first hurdle when he was unable to bend his legs -thus producing a very stiff legged gait as he passed through the customs hall- as a consequence he was strip searched and given a body cavity search for good measure.

The extent people went to in Britain to obtain good wanking material -before the advent of the interweb.

Re: There is a new J.Simons website

A nice mix of the old and the new, and all thanks to Big John?  Question: is J.Simons still truly Ivy?  Prison Blues?  A tad on the rockabilly rebel side, surely?  Having said that, has anyone seen photographs of guys in mid-50s America hanging around Studebakers etc.  Almost an Ivy/rockabilly crossover there with flat tops teamed with white socks, penny loafers, madras shorts and mostly white shirts (I guess button-downs) - neat, to quote Annie Hall!
Of course, there is no other English shop like it - is there?  Anyone round our way might try Wild in Nottingham for pea coats and Woolrich tops (winter Ivy!), but the kids there are strictly emo, lacking entirely the subtle cool of Jeff (who was looking fabulous in a beige sweatshirt and shorts when I was last in), Kenny and the man himself (good for racing tips, incidentally)...  But what comes next?

Re: There is a new J.Simons website

Watch this space!

Good point here & elsewhere about the way the lines can blur: Ivy/Americana... Americana/Rockabilly... There is a family tree somehere here.

I saw a few Rockabilly types in The Ivy Shop & you see them in JS too on & off. The Weejun belongs to everybody!

Re: There is a new J.Simons website

Indulge me; I love reading these bits and pieces about guys shopping there in the 80s.  I got to know about it all far too late.

'Rodox' was another Euro Hardcore Mag from back in the day. Have I got the name right?

I doubt that anybody would find it hardcore now...
