that last look was perpetrated forever by a phony from prep school I knew.  I love the look.  Didn't like him, though we drank and eat together after college.  That's what preps do, naturally.  Better the bastards you know, than those you don't.  Anyway, on some guys I always thought the no sock with dress trou and wingtip, somehow looked right.
