Forumites wearing button boots are advised to avoid calling attention to their sublime taste and sophistication by wearing trousers hemmed long enough to cover all the buttons.  Trousers may be bespoke, however, side lapped seams are not recommended as they may call attention to your exquisite ensemble, potentially resulting in stoning.

I, for one, am all in favor of suits-ties-"dress shoes" look-I call it distinguished. The polo shirt and chino guys have brought much of this upon us-aided, to be sure, by some overpaid, over-levereged "suits".
