For looping your scarf through to carry it instead of having a scarf pocket maybe?

I see my idea that the loop is for the display of counterfeit watches for sale (allowing for them to be hidden from view when John Law approaches) does not seem to have won any takers..

Just guessing: Maybe to hold you scarf in place when you wear it hanging around your neck? I for one would wish there were such a thing, would be really handy...
