So do I. I'll talk to his nurse and see what we can do. May need to increase his medication.

Re: Hubert Swaine: Will he post here?

... I'm having a stair lift installed so he can make it up to our penthouse offices above De Hems on Macclesfiled Street for our editorial meetings...

Also he might be interested in my fledgling Mod Museum:

An early Pete Meaden prescription (unfilled).
Lou Austin's Dry Cleaning tab for Feb of '62.
A rather sweet note from Kit Lambert with phone number attached.

Etc.

Re: Hubert Swaine: Will he post here?

A few new items for my Mod museum came in overnight...

Guy Steven's hairbrush.
A bottle of Coke from the Flamingo (still warm).
John Gall's Spaniel (stuffed).

... ... ... ...

I bright morning here at De Hems... Jimmy McGriff on the stereo... Down in Macclesfiled Street those odd white vegetables are being delivered and everybody is running around...

Just another day in the office...

Re: Hubert Swaine: Will he post here?

... And so once more the sun sets over Macclesfield Street...

More exhibits for my Mod museum have flooded in this afternoon -

An old corset (slightly worn), 'R. Barnes' it reads on the laundry tag.
'Something for the weekend' (rather perished) from Jack The Barber.
A stray mung bean found on Russell Street...

... ... ... ... ...

Half a brick from when they knocked down the old Marquee,
A Rico Royal reed picked up from the pavement outside Ronnie Scott's,
A lasagna from the New Picadilly an a battered metal plate (remember?)...

... ... ... ...

Re: Hubert Swaine: Will he post here?

This morning in Macclesfield Street I swear I saw wheelchair tracks in the snow...

My breath has never been so baited.

Museum update: We now have a series of bus tickets from Hackney to Shaftsbury Avenue and back. Our experts are currently trying to authenticate them.

Re: Hubert Swaine: Will he post here?

... Turns out it might not have been Hubert after all but this cove after my advice again:  http://www.resonancepub.com/shawki2.gif - Such a pest.

Not all news is good news from my Museum Of Modern Mod (MOMM) - I had to turn down Ian Page's trumpet this morning...

On the bright side Rick Buckler has offered to make me a new chair - He's going to stuff the cushions with some of his authentic Jam related solicitor's letters too...

Yrs,

Rustle Street.

Hubert didn't really shift himself: aside from the epic white socks thread (which you can ferret out for yourself).  This short-lived thread was a prime example of Frosty yearning to be ITK.  Perhaps he sold Hubert a pair of shoes, or some cough mixture for his nurse.  Who knows?

All right, so this is mainly fun and mischief.
